Transparency

Everything that ships is public.

LSF’s transparency is not a disclosure page — it’s the repositories. Every line of code, every schematic, every hardware BOM, every project roadmap is published as the work happens. The code runs the ground stations. The hardware flies. The roadmaps are on GitLab before the meetings that decide them.

Legal status

Libre Space Foundation is an Αστική Μη Κερδοσκοπική Εταιρεία (AMKE) — a civil non-profit company under Greek law. Registered in Athens since 2015. Full imprint on the legal notice. Public registry identifier: ΓΕΜΗ 133102301000. Wikidata: Q119810303.

Greek AMKE financial accounts are filed with the tax authority (ΔΟΥ) per Greek non-profit law; they are not mandatorily publicly disclosed and LSF does not publish them on this site.

Open by default

What is public — always, by design:

  • Source code for every first-party software project, on GitLab under GPL-3.0 (or AGPL-3.0 for networked services). The full list is at gitlab.com/librespacefoundation.
  • Hardware designs for every first-party hardware project — schematics, PCB layouts, mechanical CAD — under CERN-OHL-S v2.
  • Project roadmaps and issue trackers, public on GitLab. No private planning repositories for the projects the foundation maintains.
  • Documentation and editorial content, under CC BY-SA 4.0.
  • Meeting notes and technical discussions, on the community forum at community.libre.space and the public Matrix room.

See licensing for the full license breakdown.

Anti-money-laundering

Donations above certain thresholds are subject to AML due diligence under Greek Law 4557/2018. See the donation terms for the thresholds and what is requested.
