The three-license string in the footer is deliberate. Each covers a different kind of artefact the foundation produces and publishes.

News articles, project pages, images we hold the rights to, and editorial text across libre.space. You can reuse with attribution, adaptations must share-alike.

Hardware designs

CERN-OHL-S v2

Schematics, PCB layouts, mechanical CAD for all LSF hardware (SatNOGS rotators, PICOBUS deployer, SatNOGS-COMMS, PHASMA bus, SIDLOC flight units). Strongly reciprocal: downstream hardware built on these must share its own design files.

Software

GPL-3.0

Default for all first-party source code unless explicitly noted otherwise in a given repository’s root. Some network services (e.g. SatNOGS Network) carry AGPL-3.0 to cover the "service over a network" case. Per-project license is canonical — always check the repo’s LICENSE file.

Third-party content on this site

Partner logos displayed on About remain the property of their respective owners and are used under editorial / collaboration conventions, not CC. The IBM Plex typeface is licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 and self-hosted from this origin. Site code (Astro components, styles) lives with the rest of the repo at gitlab.com/librespacefoundation/lsf-website-2.
