The work
LSF’s missions are funded through competitive tenders from ESA, the EU and national programmes. Winning them takes a proposal process that runs like engineering: on schedule, traceable and complete. This role runs it.
A typical month mixes:
- Proposals. Planning the bid, building the compliance matrix, collecting the technical, management and cost inputs, and submitting through esa-star or the programme’s portal.
- Contracts. Negotiating and administering ESA and national contracts, change notices, and the agreements with our partners and subcontractors.
- National content. Tracking the share of work done by Greek entities across the consortium, where a programme requires it.
- The bid library. Keeping CVs, heritage, standard sections and past proposals current, so the next bid starts from strength.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years writing or managing proposals, or administering contracts, for ESA, EU or other public programmes.
- Clear, precise writing in English. Fluent Greek, for national programmes and public bodies.
- Comfort reading cost and schedule information and asking the questions behind it.
- Calm under deadlines that do not move.
How we work
LSF is a self-managing, open-source non-profit. We make decisions in the open, prefer durable docs over standing meetings, and review each other’s work on GitLab. This role is on site at our Athens HQ (Irous 21, 104 42 Athens), close to the engineers and the leadership it works with every day. We aim for a start between December 2026 and February 2027.
We weigh fit with the foundation and its mission at least as heavily as fit with the position. Read more in our hiring documentation.
